I think there’s something very romantic about a book. I wanted to create a small book that tells the story of someone’s heart breaking by imagery and stolen phrases from various love letters that date back hundreds of years ago.
The first page starts off with a large heart cut into the page and the following phrase; ‘My heart and I surrender themselves into your hands’
The heart slowly gets smaller and smaller until there is nothing left. The last page states; ‘You may keep my secrets but not my heart’
Inside the heart sits a tiny scroll tied with red embroidery thread and the scroll reads; ‘Faithful keeper of secrets’
